Around the world #32
Singapore - Cameron Highland | Day 3.2
Highlands Apiary Farm
Highlands Apiary Farm
After our breakfast we wanted to go to a farm which was listed on the tourist map but to no avail, we search high and low we still couldn't find it. So we when for this bee farm that we pass by instead. You can see lots of bee apiary that you will see at the entrance of the shop.
It was quite interesting as I never had the chance to visit a bee farm before
Nice environment they have for you to take a photograph (:
we bought a smaller one to try it out first
virgin tasting of honeycomb hehe (:
she brought us to a showcase they made and explain to us how the bees work, those that go around collecting honey are always female. The male will just do fly around as and when they like.
she was trying to find the queen for us but she just didn't show up so we left.
at the showcase area bees will fly around, kind of scary if you are not a fan of insect
we bought two bottles of honey with honeycomb at 76 dollars with a smaller glass bottle honey for free. I bought a bottle of flower pollen too. The owner claims that it will reduce sinus in the morning.
They offer activities such as allowing bees to walk on you
Thats about all for the bee farm, we stay for about half an hour before we left for boh tea plantation just nearby.
That's about all for now (:
Love,
Yin Zhen
