7 Day 6 Night | Cho Ben Thanh | Day 1.1

Though we were both moody while waiting for the taxi service to call and han had to call back home to inform his mum that he had lost his card on the first day of our trip.

We decided to go out for a walk and be happy since we are finally travelling after so long. The first stop that we went was the famous Ben Thanh Market. It was just a 5 min short walk from Hoang Hai Long Hotel. There are 4 Entrance/Exit from all sides so do take note the store nearby if you need to go back to the same place when going back.

The entrance that we went in from was a wet market where the local buy meat and vegetables.

Into the main hall (:

There was lots little booths that cluster together to form a small district that sells the same item. Such as clothes, handicraft, leather goods, souvenirs  and food. We tried to walk around to look for some goods to buy but every store owner kept on pulling my hand and shouting to promote their stuff. Such a horrible experience, this place is like a tourist trap where everything are slightly more expensive unless you are extremely good at haggling.

Many pretty clothes can be found here (:

Super cute wood work available

Personally i will not recommend this place, probably at best maybe a destination to rest and drink a cup of coffee if you happen to just pass by.

We had a cup of traditional Ice coffee, taste like coffee with chocolate mixed in it:/

Some traditional delicacy ( Prawn Roll )

They wrapped mint noodle and fresh prawn in it and it taste ):

well at least we had tried it ;D

20,000 Dong is around $1.30 SGD

We left from another exit, so this sum up our trip to Cho Ben Thanh Market ;D

Love,

Yin Zhen
