THAILAND , Bangkok

5 Day 5 Night | Emphawa Floating Market | Day 3

We woke up late this morning too exhausted from the walking we did.

For today, we made our way to Victory monument to take a mini bus to Emphawa floating market. Travel time was about one and a half hour to reach on the van.

We chose the nearest bus service tent that we saw right after we walked out of the exit. Dont have to worry about about haggling as it is fixed ticket price (:

Waiting area for the passenger to fill up the van.

160 for 2 to Empahwa

First class seat hehe (front seat of the mini bus), happy us.

Upon Reaching there will be timing show for the going back mini bus.
You might want to buy the ticket back to Bangkok if you are very sure how long will you remain there, as they have limited seats for each timing and they depart by the hours. Missing one might cause quite a long wait.

We took the 6.20 ride back to hotel. But since there was a jam, we took almost two times the time to go back victory monument. Would recommend you to take the later one so that you can enjoy the firefly and carry on your journey smoothly.

Once we entered the market, there are lots of people who have approach us for the ferry ride along the river or temple visit. We paid for the '5 temple visit' for 50 baht though a tiny bit of regret. (You can prepare a few 20baht to donate when you reach the temple as a token of appreciation) .  If i would go again i will take the tour around the area.  There's a firefly tour option but we didn't stay there late enough to watch it.

Had our lunch along the river market, the seafood was fresh and cheap (: Though you might find it abit hard to get a sit during peak hours, but the overall experience was cool as they cook on the boat and serve you on the spot.

Some of the food that we had. The only expensive one was the sotong As it is sold by weight.

Fresh Scallop (:

Pork Satay

It was close to 8pm when we reached victory monument and there's a lot of huge night market along the way. You can alight anywhere you like but we didn't since we were not familiar with the place.

Victory monument has a few shopping centers and night markets if you would like to shop for a bit more things they sell are very familiar to where you see everywhere.

We went home about 10pm and bought a dvd to watch for the night (:

Journey to the five temple...

End of the day 3 :D
